Summer Training

There are many summer training opportunities available to the Cadets varying from a 2 week General training to a 7 week Pilot Power Training Course and Senior Leaders Course.  Courses focus on specific areas of the Cadet program and are designed to complement the local training.   For each camp, the Cadet must meet predetermined prerequisites.
 
The following general prerequisites are mandatory and apply to all Air Cadet Summer Training Program Courses:
 
  • not have reached their 19th birthday by the end of the course, including travel time to return to their home unit
  • be recommended by the Squadron CO
  • have written parental/guardian consent to attend
  • be medically fit to participate
  • -meet any other conditions prescribed.
 
Senior Cadets may also apply to attend advanced training opportunities as staff Cadets at summer training centres across Canada.  Staff applications are usually done electronically and should be available mid December.

All Cadets who join the Squadron prior to December 31 of each year are eligible to apply for summer training.

 

Summer training is offered to select Cadets based on merit.  Courses range from 2 to 7 weeks long throughout the summer months.  Training centres are located across Canada with each offering different programs.  Cadets must apply to attend.
